Purpose of the role:

The Sales Manager Leica Medical Microscopy is accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals. This role provides direction and leadership to the sales team and distribution partners in Turkey while responsible for the customer satisfaction and market share growth for the Leica Medical Microscopy business in the country.

Key responsibilities:

• Increase the sales volume of Neuro/ENT and high end ophthalmic in the medical segment in Turkey
• Develop the distribution network within the region by providing the required technical/clinical and value selling support
• In charge of the funnel of opportunities and responsible for weekly and monthly funnel review and implementation and execution of associated action plans
• Constantly monitor distributor´s performance, suggests improvement initiatives and run regular business reviews to help develop the distributor´s sales and service team
• Ensure a high level of service quality and that distributors are compliant with national and international legal and quality standards
• Coordinate the new product launching and manage the products phasing
• Monitor the competitors´ activities
• Reporting to the General Manager of the Selling Unit Turkey

Decision Making Authority:

• Prepare quotations and set pricing within agreed upon guidelines
• Recommend changes in distribution as necessary and executes approved plans to make such changes with assistance from other functions within Leica

Measures of Performance

• Agreed upon growth and profitability metrics

The successful candidate should have:

• A master degree in Biomedical engineering or equivalent in experience
• Experience in demonstrating surgical equipment in operating theaters.
• Min. 5 years of experience in sales of surgical operating room products
• Min. 2 years of people management experience
• Experience in holding trainings, calculating quotations and market analysis
• Self-starter with strong communication, (re-)presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and Turkish
• Open to an intercultural environment
• Willingness to travel 60%
